What we collect

If you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only as a salted hash — we never see or store the password itself.

As you use FLY we store the choices you make: items you like, your closet and how many of each piece you own, trips you plan with their dates and destinations, and products you watch. If you add your own photograph to a closet piece, we store that image too. Photos are optional, they are yours, and you can remove any of them at any time.

If you use FLY without an account, all of this stays in your browser and never reaches our servers. When you create an account, anything already in your browser is copied to it so you don't lose your closet.

How we use it

Your likes and closet build the taste and packing signal that powers recommendations, so the app can tell you what a trip needs and what you're missing. Your email lets us keep your account across visits. We don't sell any of this.

Affiliate links

Product links in FLY are affiliate links. When you click one, the affiliate network behind it (Amazon Associates, Awin, or Sovrn Commerce) sets a cookie in your browser so that any purchase you make can be attributed to us. That cookie is set by the network and the retailer, not by FLY, and it typically expires after a set window whether or not you buy anything. If you buy, we may earn a small commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra, and it’s how FLY stays free to use. You can block or clear these cookies through your browser settings; doing so won’t change what FLY recommends. See our affiliate disclosure for the full explanation.

Where your data is stored

Accounts and their data are stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, on servers in the United States. If you are outside the US, your information is transferred and processed there. Our site is served by Vercel. Both act as processors on our behalf and neither sells your data.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Delete your account and we remove your profile, closet, trips, photos and likes. Anonymous analytics counts, which are not tied to you, may remain.

Cookies & local storage

FLY uses your browser's local storage to remember your session, your taste profile, and your closet between visits. Affiliate networks and our hosting provider may set cookies needed to run the service. For analytics we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across sites or build a profile of you — it only counts page views and a small number of anonymous in-app events, such as how many people save a trip. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.

Third parties

We share the minimum needed to run the app: affiliate networks to track qualifying purchases, and standard hosting and analytics providers to keep FLY running and to see which features are actually used. We don't sell personal data to advertisers.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything tied to it. Email the address below and we'll take care of it. You can also remove individual photos and closet pieces yourself inside the app at any time, and clear anything held in your browser by clearing site data.

Signing out clears the copy of your closet and trips held on that device, so a shared computer doesn't keep your wardrobe after you leave. Your data stays safe in your account.

Children

FLY isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and post the new version here.
